In 1982, Richard Phillips started the business from his garage on Bowen Road, Lilydale, providing cool room shelving and storage. He was joined the following year by his son, Mark. By 1985, their focus had shifted to meet requests for office storage.
John, another son, joined the growing family business as its operations continued to grow.
After the turn of the century, the third generation – Doug, Ross and Terry Phillips – joined the business. Growing operations saw the business move to a new facility in Bayswater.
Growing expertise in office space design prompted the official brand Bowen Interiors to launch, now exclusively offering end-to-end office fitout design, construction and project management.
Strategy guides how we create innovative workspace solutions – and our own business. In 2024, we made the strategic decision to rebrand as Sensa, an established provider of intelligent commercial interiors.
