Marnebek School

As part of an upgrade to Marnebek’s administration building, the school partnered with Sensa to craft bespoke furniture that brings comfort, functionality, and cultural meaning to the space.

The administration building serves as the central hub for staff and visitors, featuring reception, private offices, discussion rooms, and a breakout zone. The school wanted furniture that would make these spaces more inviting, foster a sense of belonging, and reflect its core values of responsibility, safety, respect, and resilience.

The vision was to create an environment that feels warm, inclusive, and culturally significant. Furniture needed to combine comfort with durability while adding visual appeal. A key requirement was to incorporate design elements that celebrate Indigenous heritage, encouraging cultural awareness and conversation within the school community.

Sensa supplied custom-designed furniture crafted with high-quality fabrics for both comfort and longevity. Each piece was tailored to suit the functional needs of the administration areas while creating an inviting atmosphere. The soft textures and carefully selected materials enhanced the sense of warmth, helping staff and students feel connected to the space.

A defining feature of the project was the integration of traditional Aboriginal-inspired patterns within the furniture design. These cultural details serve as more than decoration—they tell a story, promote inclusivity, and align with the school’s commitment to respect and resilience.
